Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive Co., Ltd. (BFDA) is a joint venture between Daimler Truck and the Chinese trucks manufacturer Foton Motor. The company has been designing, manufacturing and selling trucks under the Auman brand since 2012 and the localized Mercedes-Benz Actros, which are manufactured specifically for the Chinese market and provides considerate after-sales services. BFDA’s business is mainly focused on the Chinese market, while it is also an important pillar for the global product and production strategy of Daimler Truck.
Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive Co., Ltd., is a 50:50 joint venture company of Daimler Truck China Limited and Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd.. The company is currently producing Mercedes-Benz and Auman branded trucks in China. The Mercedes-Benz Business Unit of the company is responsible for operations of Mercedes-Benz branded truck products in China.
